Ubuntu 18 : installer dongle Wi-Fi RTL8811AU

Installer le dongle RTL8811AU Wi-Fi sous Ubuntu 18.04

Il y a un paquet officiel pour ces drivers, le paquet r8168-dkms.

: les drivers fournient avec le CD ne fonctionnent pas, tout du moins, pas sans intervention. De plus le script d’installation date de 2011.

Une fois le dongle branché USB, s’assurer que le système l’a bien pris en compte.

Installer le paquet r8168-dkms.

root@ubuntu~#: apt install r8168-dkms

: L’installation prend un moment car les drivers vont être compiler pour le noyau. Ce qui aura pour effet de recompiler ces drivers lors des mises à jours du kernel.

L’option de connexion Wi-Fi est présente dans le menu réseau (en haut à droite de l’écran principale). Si ce n’est pas le cas, un redémarrage est nécessaire.
